MY STYLE: Flora

Why should I be unhappy? Every parcel of my being is in full bloom- Rumi

Happy Thursday loves! I trust that you've been having a great week so far and looking forward to something amazing this weekend.

This is my first co-ord set and just as I received it in the post and opened the package, it brought so much joy. The vibrant colours and bold floral print in full bloom literally brightened my day. Isn't it funny how flowers can do that? Whether they're in a garden or in a bouquet delivered to you, flowers bring so much cheer.

MY STYLE: Sunshine & Polka Dots

Keep your face always toward the sunshine and the shadows will fall behind you- Walt Whitman

I'm a little late with this post as I wanted to greet you yesterday (Monday) with a little sunshine and polka dots to brighten up your day. Now that Monday has passed, I trust that despite the absence of my sunshine yellow top to send a little ray of sunshine, you still had a beautiful day.

MY STYLE: Blue Hues

I am not beautiful like YOU. I am beautiful like ME.
Over the past 2 years or so, I've become a lot more comfortable wearing shorts and rompers and anything above my knees. I stated the reasons in previous posts but for years, I had a complex, an insecurity, a strong dislike for my legs. People would repeatedly try to assure me that my legs were beautiful and I could wear anything that I wanted because I was (and still am) so slender and petite, but until I was able to see me as I was, and love and appreciate whatever I saw, I could not accept what they were saying. Only the negative comments lived with me daily. As time passed, I learned to love me more, embracing everything because it was what I had and what God blessed me with. For the things that I did not like and could change, I worked on them and still work on them. There will always be something (or a few things) that we will not like about ourselves but we should not love ourselves any less because of them.

Love YOU for YOU and BE YOU because there is only ONE you. Everyone else is taken.

MY STYLE: Blanket Scarf

Hello loves! I'm continuing my faux-Fall looks with this cozy, fuzzy, blanket scarf that I scooped up in Forever XXI last week on a spontaneous, unplanned trip to the big apple. If you're wondering why I said faux-Fall, it's because I live in the Cayman Islands and there is nothing Fall about 90+ degree heat. I was sweating bullets while shooting this look and
while many people would give anything to enjoy such high temps, I'm ok with it any other time of year except Fall and THAT is why the unplanned trip to New York happened. I am remaining optimistic and hoping that the weather will drastically cool down so I can fully break into Fall gear without being drenched in sweat.

This blanket scarf was a big hit in style blogosphere at one time and unfortunately, I was unable to get my hand on one from Zara because they sold out as soon as they were stocked. Apart from the fact that the scarf is cozy and fuzzy, the multi-coloured stripes offers you the opportunity to style and mix with varying accent pieces and colours.

Even though the scarf has 5 colours, I paired it here with red skinnies  and classic, pointy-toe, black pumps to give the look an extra pop of 'something'.

MY STYLE: Shades of Gray

Happy Friyay!!!! It's the weekend and I love weekends, but then again, so does everyone else. Just sharing a quick Fall look with my new pieces from GoJane and H&M. Ponchos are always Fall appropriate and I don't even know how it happened but I quickly amassed quite a few over the last couple of weeks. Apart from this poncho being a big ball of fuzzy comfort, it's also reversible. My first poncho was debuted in this post, just in case you missed it ;)
