MY STYLE: Black & Blue

When I woke up on Sunday, I couldn't quite decipher my mood which naturally led to a few minutes of me standing in my closet trying to figure out what to wear to church. Many people feel comfortable wearing anything (within reason) to church but not me. I grew up wearing skirts or dresses to church so until this very day, I either reach for a skirt or a dress but this past Sunday, neither dresses nor skirts moved me.

I did however reach for a dress that I purchased from H&M about a year ago and when I did, I didn't particulary like it after I wore it the first time so it's been sitting in the closet ever since. At any rate, I tried the dress again on Sunday and to my surprise, it worked.

For church, I like to keep my entire ensemble fairly simple so I threw my hair up in a high-bun (always a classy look), reached for my new Jessica Simpson black and blue strappy, platform sandals and grabbed my cobalt blue pashmina and was off for a Hallelujah.
