MY STYLE: Black Mermaid

For quite some time now, I've been seeing style bloggers and fashionistas styling pencil skirts with tees. As a matter of fact, it was a trend at one point but in true Olivia fashion, I don't necessarily follow trends and do my own thing whenever I'm ready. So here we are, about a year later out-of-trend,  styling a pencil, peplum hem skirt with a tee- a Top Model tee to be exact.

MY STYLE: It's All M.I.N.E

Hi beauties:

Today was a casual Saturday for me and once again, it definitely didn't go as planned but what I knew was that I definitely wanted to sport my new t-shirt by M.I.N.E.

Making It Necessary for Everyone (M.I.N.E.) is a t-shirt line that Taren hopes will inspire many others to follow their dreams and goals. 

It is no secret that I am a natural hair enthusiast and today's outfit showcases a t-shirt design (It's all M.I.N.E) by none other than Ms. Taren Guy who is also a natural hair enthusiast. I met Taren at Curly Nikki's Meet & Greet in NY in 2011 (pictures here) and you can learn more about her  and her foundation here.

Simple T-Shirt Reconstruction

Hi lovelies:

 

It's hump day!! We're almost there. Just thought I'd make a quick post about another new-found passion and that's ripping/recreating/reconstructing and totally manipulating t-shirts. These designs do not invlove any type of sewing and that sounds great to me.

 

Who doesn't like a good comfy, unique looking t-shirt?

 

I intend on reconstructing alot more tees and creating new designs so be on the look out for those posts.
