What I Wore- Day 2- Style Bloggers of Color Conference 2013

Happy Hump Day lovies! Hope your week has been nothing short of fabulous thus far.

Just thought I'd share a quick post on what I wore for day 2 of the Style Bloggers of Color Conference 2013 in Miami. I'm sporting another flared/ circle skirt made by my seamstress. I bought this fabric in the hope that I would actually make the skirt myself but got cold feet when attempting to cut it, so I somehow convinced my seamstress to cut the 'pattern' and show me step by step how to make a circle skirt. Once I master the first one, I know that I'll be churning out lots more, so look out because seamstress Olivia is on the way ;). 

.......and look, I FINALLY got a decent pair of black, patent pumps and they were on sale. Yay me! So classy

What I Wore- Day 1 of SBOC 2013

Hi beauties:

I hope that you're not growing weary of my SBOC posts just yet. After all, this is only the third one ;).

My skirt caused a 'riot' on day 1 of the Style Bloggers of Color 2013 Conference this past weekend. I received sooooo many compliments and if I can say so my self, this cute little number was the star of the show. I first saw this skirt worn by one of my favourite style bloggers, Blair Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific, and discovered that it was from ASOS. I instantly fell in love but of course by the time I saw it, it was already sold out in my size. Funnily enough, I was not disappointed. I saved a picture of the skirt, took it to my seamstress and surely you know the rest of the story.

The peplum hem of my skirt is much tighter than the ASOS skirt and the shade of pink is also different.
