MY STYLE: Sophisti-Chique

Hi beauties:
When I woke it up this morning, it felt like the air condition was on full blast because my bedroom was chilly until I sat up and realised, 'oh, the a/c is not on'. I left my bedroom windows open last night and it was nice and chilly when I woke up. I really didn't want to get out of bed. The usual bright island sun was not beaming through my window and the clouds outside were grey. I figured that the day would remain as cool as the morning was so I thought I'd dress to accommodate the weather and my office which is usually the same temperature as a morgue....or at least is feels that way.
I bought this skirt during my UK trip this past summer and I've had this turtle neck sweater forever. I paired the outfit with my go-to, super comfy black patent pumps and I was ready to run out the door. When I saw myself in the mirror, I felt sophisticated ;)

Loc n Tuck Hairstyle

Hi beauties:

Today's post is a quick and easy 'loc n tuck' hairstyle that I have done numerous times before but thought to capture a picture of, and share with you.

If you like this hairstyle and curious to know how I did it, comment below and I'll do a pictorial for you.

MY STYLE: Neon Patch

Hi lovelies:
Once again, I planned on having a fairly uneventful weekend to do some research and spend a little quiet time by myself.....needless to say, that hasn't happened yet.
The first part of my day was choka-block. I assisted another MUA with makeup for 2 weddings back to back then had a personal appointment.
The highlight of my day was when one of my clients asked, "can you do makeup on caucasian people?".........my response was a simple smile and "yes I can".
I've been planning to wear this outfit for some time now, albeit nothing fancy but I just love the colour combination.

Simple T-Shirt Reconstruction

Hi lovelies:

It's hump day!! We're almost there. Just thought I'd make a quick post about another new-found passion and that's ripping/recreating/reconstructing and totally manipulating t-shirts. These designs do not invlove any type of sewing and that sounds great to me.

Who doesn't like a good comfy, unique looking t-shirt?

I intend on reconstructing alot more tees and creating new designs so be on the look out for those posts.

iGo Pink- Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast Cancer affects both men and women and have claimed the lives of millions around the world. I lost my mom to cancer (not breast cancer) 8 years ago and the pain of her loss still has not gotten easier. Many others share this feeling with me.

Every year, I try to do something to honour victims and survivors of breast cancer. Here in the Cayman Islands, there are many activities during October to raise awareness for Breast Cancer. There are silent auctions, run/walk marathons, gala dinners, fund-raising events.

There are soooo many different ways to show support for Breast Cancer and this post is all about that.

You can also see my previous posts for breast canccer here and here.

MY STYLE: Salmon Slit Back Blouse & Brown Skinnies

Can you believe it's Monday again?!? Wow, is it me or is time just flying by? I think it's the latter.
I intended on having a stay-at-home weekend but my plans don't always work out the way I intend them to. I ended up going to lunch with an associate from one of my company's overseas offices. It was a good session.
I'm also just realizing that something has gone terribly wrong with the quality of my pictures. They're hazey! Why??

MY STYLE: Brown Maxi Skirt & Peplum Top

HAPPY FRIDAY LOVELIES!!
Have you ever had those days where you woke up and nothing in your closet seemed to work out right? Well yesterday was that day for me....ugh! I tried on about 4 or 5 different outfits and nothing looked right. On top of that, my insomnia has really been kicking butt this week.
Anyway, I eventually concocted this outfit and thought voila, this works!
Skirt- Mine is really old but try this | I like this one

Apologies in advance for the quality and lack of pictures but I was losing sunlight quickly.

MY STYLE: Animal Print Blouse & Black Pencil Skirt

Today's outfit isn't overly exciting but neither was my mood when I woke up this morning. I was and still am tired.....and it's only Tuesday. I did a bit of ironing last night so this morning all I had to do was throw on and go.

MY STYLE: Red Midi Pencil Dress & Orange Blazer

Whoever said that orange and red couldn't work together lied. As I've said before, in the Caribbean, bright colours never go out of season. ;)
I love how this dress fits me. When I discovered that Dorothy Perkins shipped internationally, that was the end of it for me ;). My credit card was smoking. I bought this dress a while ago and wore it once or maybe twice. I chose to pair it with an orange cropped blazer and leopard print heels.
