Quasar Models Photoshoot

Hi beauties:

I was contacted by the founder of Quasar Models (Cayman Islands) to do makeup for a photoshoot. Without hesitating, I agreed to the job until I found out that it was an early morning shoot. (EPIC FAIL). It was a 5am start. Hmmph! I instantly wanted to say no and hang up the phone but because I agreed to the shoot 2 seconds before that, I couldn't go back on my word so I left it at that......

Waking up that morning was VERY hard but at the end of it all, I was extremely happy that I agreed because it was really awesome to be amidst such great local talent. There were 8 beautiful models, 4 photographers and another talented makeup artist on board.

For more images of my work, check out Model Mayhem- Shades Pro Makeup

Here are a few pics to show you what the morning looked like.

High School Reunion- 20 years!!!

Hi beauties:

Today I'm going to share pictures of a client who wanted "fierce" makeup for her 20th high school reunion.

When I started this look, I wasn't quite sure what I was going for but then I had an ah-ha moment and my creative juices started flowing. I LOVE when my clients say "do whatever you want Olivia".......so that's just what I did.

She was wearing a black and white, fitted, knee-length dress accessorized with a fuschia clutch and heels.

Here's her look!

I gave her a sparkley black smokey eye with hot pink on the inner most corner of each eye and added lashes. On her lips I applied a very, very light pink (which hardly shows in the pictures) and NARS Gilda blush on her cheeks.

REVIEW!!! Dermalogica Overnight Clearing Gel

Hey beauties:

Today I wanted to share one of my recently found FAVORITE skin care products with you. I especially wanted to share this with you because I have tried just about every topical acne treatment product on the market to zap my zits and couldn't find one that worked as quickly as I wanted it to. After reading several reviews about the Dermalogica Overnight Clearing Gel, I decided to try it for myself.

(Product) What is it?

Topical treatment suitable for acneic and breakout-prone skin.

Dermalogica Overnight Clearing Gel is an overnight treatment designed to help clear skin congestion and help prevent future breakouts using its active ingredient Salycic Acid. Salycic Acid is a type of acid used to treat non-inflammed acne and is found in most acne treatment products. Because Dermalogica Overnight Clearing Gel contains salycic acid, it may irritate persons with sensitive skin.

Dermalogica Overnight Clearing Gel is a part of the Medibac Clearing System and is the be all and end all of topical acne treatments. Although I have sensitive/ combination skin, so far this product has not irritated my skin and literally works overnight, reducing the appears of my acne when I have flare ups.

As the name suggests, the clearing gel is an overnight treatment. It could be applied all over the face or just on the problem areas and should be washed off in the morning.

Product Benefit

- Removes impaction plug from follicle to help prevent future breakouts and relieve congestion

- Helps regulate sebum (oils produced by the sebaceous glands) production

- May be applied all over face or areas experiencing breakouts or congestion.

Package

Dermalogica Overnight Clearing Gel comes in a 50ml hard plastic bottle with a removable screw cap.

Price

Depending on your local distributor or country, the cost of the clearing gel can range from anywhere from US$27 to GBP41 to CI$48. Although this may be considered an expensive topical acne treatment, the product is definitely worth the money because it works wonders.

Place

This product can be purchased from your local Dermalogica distributors or on Amazon.com.

Overall opinion

This product is worth the money and should be bought by every person who struggles with acne prone, problem skin.

Acne can be caused by numerous factors, however, for occasional or even frequent flare-ups, I would recommend trying this product.

Note: This post was not sponsored and was based on writer's opinion. I am not a dermatologist or a skin care specialist. This is simply based on my opinion and experience of use. Please see your skin specialist or dermatologist for serious acne problems.
