INSPIRED STYLE: Neutralizer

I trust that you had a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday well spent with those closest to you, and you remembered those less fortunate than you. Dare I mention all the yummy goodness that you indulged in, including those Black Friday sales. Did you buy much?

We had a Cayman style, Thanksgiving potluck lunch at work which was oh so delectable, and that was pretty much all the eating that I did. As for the Black Friday sales, I did browse through a few of my favourite online stores that actually ship internationally, but wasn't overly impressed simply because there was a lot of Fall/ Winter wear that is pretty much pointless here on the island.

I am excited to see what you purchased though so please do share.

As you know, I am very fond of Blair of Atlantic Pacific, and this is another inspired style ensemble from her look, Neutral Territory. The reason I love Blair's style so much is because it is very similar to mine and I would describe my style as chic, modern, classy and....well, simply me ;).

This skirt moves like a dream. So flowy and princess-like and yes, it's another one custom-made just for me :), but instead of the usual 3" waistband, I got a wider waistband and a sash.

MY STYLE: Zip Line

Do you have a particular colour that you adore seeing on others but you just can't bring yourself to wear it? Well I sure do. As a matter of fact, I have two colours- red and purple.
Only in the past year or two have I been able to stomach seeing myself in red. Funny thing is, I actually don't mind wearing it now.

Wearing this pencil skirt made me feel like a powerhouse. If it were black leather, I could definitely envision the dominatrix look (with the whip too).

The skirt is quite fitted so I had to adjust to bottom zip a bit to walk properly and avoid the penguin steps.

MY STYLE: Bold and Bright

Accept who you are; and revel in it- Mitch Albom

If you were to search through my closets....(yes I said closets with an 's' because there is more than one), you would not find a dress or skirt that is more than 2 inches above my knees. Why? Well, I've been teased all my life about how skinny/ petite I am and I have become overly conscious of my stature, including the fact that I have really skinny legs. While that is a compliment for many, in the Caribbean, being skinny is viewed as being ill or not liking to eat. As a matter of fact, I am quite the opposite. I am a healthy foodie. I LOVE my belly. I am genetically tiny and this goes as far back as my paternal great, great grandparents so there's definitely no hope for me gaining weight any time soon.

Wearing this dress today to run a few errands around town was a bold step for me and to post it here on my blog in this international forum is an even bolder step. This dress was gifted to me by my bestie because she thought it would look cute on me even though she's aware of the fact that I am conscious about my skinny legs.

What are your thoughts on my outfit?

Are you brave enough to rock white nail polish? I loved it!

After taking the pictures for this post, I popped into a new restaurant to check out the menu and saw this sign on a board. I really couldn't agree more about this ;)

MY STYLE: Blue Aztec Jumpsuit (Look 2)

Hi beauties:

In my last post, I told you that I was going to show you how I style one item (my aztec print jumpsuit) in different ways. Well today, I'm sharing look 2.

For look 2, I chose to style the jumpsuit using only the top half, pairing it with this maxi skirt. The maxi skit was long enough to cover the bottom half of the jumpsuit without making it look as if something were underneath. I wore the same brown tone/ neutral accessories, my rose gold thong sandals and Zara bag.

Hope you enjoy this look.

MY STYLE: Cropped Mint

**WARNING** Over exposed photos ahead

Although the photos were way over exposed, I still wanted to share my outfit with you and hope that you'll enjoy the pictures despite them being so bright.

Nothing says coolness more than mint. In the midst of Summer's scorching temperatures, staying cool and fresh is always one of my top priorities. Wearing light colours and airy pieces helps me to achieve that priority.

Ah, summer, what power you have to make us suffer….but I like it. Russell Baker

MY STYLE: Chain Reaction

Hi beauties:

I actually managed to find someone to snap a few shots of my outfit today. Although it was nothing special, I still wanted to share the look with you, especially my new nail colour. It has caused some stares but I love it.

A long weekend is in sight. Do you have any plans?

MY SYLE: Vintage Dots

Hi beauties:

I know that I have been slow on the posts lately but that's because I have lost my photographers along with the fact that life has taken over.

I didn't really plan on capturing any photos of this outfit but because I am so spontaneous, I figured, eh, what the heck so I whipped out my 'crackberry' and found the nearest person to take a few shots.

Apologies for the pic quality but I hope you enjoy the outfit
