2015 Holiday Lookbook- Style 1

I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all year- Charles Dickens

Happy Monday loves!! It's almost Christmas! Yes, I jumped right over Thanksgiving to Christmas. I loovvveee Christmas. It is my favourite season for so many different reasons.

I've never done this before but this year I decided to create a holiday lookbook for all those upcoming festivities. I've already received a few party invites which is rather unusual but hey, why not?!

Style 1 is a dress I bought from Team Wardrobe a few months back. I bought it in red and white and  knew that I would style the red one for Christmas. There's just something about red that is synonymous with Christmas. I'd never ordered from this site prior to purchasing these two dresses but was quite impressed with quick delivery to a Caribbean island and the quality of the fabric.

MY STYLE: Lady Bug

Hey loves! Just popping in to give you another quick (and cute) weekend lady bug combination of red and black. Not only did I love the simple but stylish ensemble that I quickly threw together, but I loved the location that we shot. The sidewalk was covered in fallen leaves as if it were Fall all over again, and if you've been following me for a while then you'd know that Fall/ Autumn, is my favourite season. Unfortunately we do not experience a change of seasons here in the Caribbean but we could always pretend right?!

MY STYLE: Love.....

Love never fails........

So, today is February 14th- Valentine's Day, and it is actually the one day of the year where I literally cringe at the thought of the day. I am one of the most anti-valentine persons there are. Why you ask? I cannot get my head around why billions of people around the world act as if it's the only day to express their so-called love for their 'special someone'. Forgive me for sounding like the love scrooge but if their someone was so special, wouldn't the love be shown everyday? What happens to the other 364 days of the year?

I usually wear full black on V-Day but today, I flipped the script NOT because I've had a change of heart about the day, but because of my beautiful red, full skirt (and you know how much I loved full skirts). Funnily enough, I won 'Best V-Day Outfit' at the office today. Go figure!

Cherish yourself FIRST and then that special someone (if there's someone) every waking day of your life. Don't wait until the world decides to celebrate 'love' for you to show that you care, appreciate, cherish, admire, think about and love him/ her. Create your V-day, every day, every week, every year. Without completely sounding like the love scrooge (because I'm really not), HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

MY SYLE: Vintage Dots

Hi beauties:

I know that I have been slow on the posts lately but that's because I have lost my photographers along with the fact that life has taken over.

I didn't really plan on capturing any photos of this outfit but because I am so spontaneous, I figured, eh, what the heck so I whipped out my 'crackberry' and found the nearest person to take a few shots.

Apologies for the pic quality but I hope you enjoy the outfit

MY STYLE: Red Midi Pencil Dress & Orange Blazer

Whoever said that orange and red couldn't work together lied. As I've said before, in the Caribbean, bright colours never go out of season. ;)
I love how this dress fits me. When I discovered that Dorothy Perkins shipped internationally, that was the end of it for me ;). My credit card was smoking. I bought this dress a while ago and wore it once or maybe twice. I chose to pair it with an orange cropped blazer and leopard print heels.

Orange Marmalade Look inspired by Tina (The Fancy Face)

Hi beauties:

Today I wanted to share my version of "Orange Marmalade", a look that was done by one of my favorite fellow bloggers, Tina, The Fancy Face. I actually had the chance to meet Tina in person at The MakeUp Show NYC this past May. Tina always comes up with gorgeous combinations and she makes it look easy because she's a gorgeous girl.

I am off of work today and wanted to take advantage of the sunlight because I rarely get the chance to create my looks while the sun is out but I ensured that I caught it today.

Sunkissed Plum

**WARNING- Ungroomed, unkept, unshaped brows in this post. Viewer beware!!**

Since I received my Sugarpill Cosmetics, I've been dying to create a look but just couldn't find the time to do so and I wanted to create a look using the 4 pressed shadows that I bought- Poison Plum, Buttercupcake, Love and Flamepoint. Well seeing that I had colors of a sunset (red, yellow and orange) I couldn't resist doing a sunset look but how was I going to incorporate the purple?? Well this is what I came up with and I like it!
I'm definitely going to create more looks using my Sugarpill colors because I love that they're so pigmented and blend-able (haha, is that even a word??)
