MY STYLE: Spring Stripes

Hi beauties:

A friend of mine invited me to her church today and although I'm never usually comfortable visiting other churches, I decided to go. It was a good service. After the service, I was able to capture a few shots of my outfit.

Did you go to church today? Did you enjoy the service?

MY STYLE: Chain Reaction

Hi beauties:

I actually managed to find someone to snap a few shots of my outfit today. Although it was nothing special, I still wanted to share the look with you, especially my new nail colour. It has caused some stares but I love it.

A long weekend is in sight. Do you have any plans?

Makeup Contest Time- BH Cosmetics

Hi beauties:

Oooohhh it has been a hot minute since I've posted anything related to makeup but while browsing (as I always do), I found this contest that's happening right now.

BH Cosmetics is hosting a makeup contest called 'Beat The Makeup Artist'. Basically, you have to recreate the look created by one of BH Cosmetics's very own makeup artist ,which is in line with their 'In The Garden' theme. The last day to submit your entry is June 6, 2013 and 10 lucky persons (if chosen) will win a $500 gift card to shop with BH Cosmetics.

See all of the information here: BH Cosmetics Contest. I think I'm definitely going to enter this competition. What's there to lose right?

ASOS Africa S/S '13

I rarely ever blog about a new collection/ line from Designers or Shops but I couldn't resist blogging about the new ASOS Africa Spring/Summer 2013 collection.

ASOS AFRICA S/S'13

S/S’13 offers up a heady mix of zingy chartreuse green and monochrome designs on sleeveless shirts, sheer panel dresses and statement-making playsuits.

Cayman Islands Batabano 2013

The 30th annual Batabano Cayman Carnival was in full swing on 4 May 2013 as revelers jumped, danced and paraded down the streets of the world renowned Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman into central George Town. The parade kicked off around 2:30pm where bright colours, beads, feathers and lots of energy crowded the streets. Even though this year's route was extended by an additional 2 miles, the extension did not deter the soca junkies from keeping the energy going. Both young and old came out to watch the parade.

My 'work' day started at 8am creating bright, bold and beautiful makeup looks for these revelers and ended 6.5hrs later but it was all worth it.

Every year, this event attracts thousands of visitors from around the world to our tiny piece of paradise in the sun. Even though our carnival is incomparable to those in Trinidad, Jamaica, Brazil and Honduras, our people know how to put it down and have fun.

Do you think you have what it takes to go hard and complete the journey?

Cayman Islands Fashion Week 2013

The long awaited Cayman Islands Fashion Week 2013 kicked off in fine style on Thursday, 25 April 2013, with a Culture & Style Meet and Greet at the Cayman Cabana. International and local models and designers met, mingled and danced the night away at the new resto-bar.

Friday night's roads led to the new West Indies Wine Company at Camana Bay where ladies dressed in their best for the My Style Soiree and sipped on complimentary wine. The gents were also welcomed with fine rum.

These two events, although fabulous in their own way, could not compare to what was expected for Saturday night's Fashion Gala. The Fashion Gala was expected to be a phenomenal one with international models such as Grace Bol, Jaslene Gonzalez, host Eva Marcille and many others.

A mini cocktail reception kicked off the evening in the night air that was filled with glitter, sequins, feathers and all things fashionable.
Although the Cayman Islands Fashion Week is still in its infancy stage, the producers strive to make the event the number one fashion and lifestyle destination event in the Caribbean while ensuring the Cayman Islands takes its place as the number one cosmopolitan getaway destination in the region.
