Trending: Moto(rcycle) Jackets....

The Moto Jacket (also known as the Motorcycle Jacket) is a chic way to add a bit of edge or toughness to any delicate, feminine look, whether paired with flowy skirts or even dresses. These pieces are easy to transition from Fall to Winter (if layered properly) and aren't just protective gear for bikers anymore. Now that the winter season is in full effect, moto jackets are appearing everywhere.

What are your thoughts on the moto trend?

MY STYLE: Leopard Sparkle

Would you be daring enough to wear sequin in the day? I've never actually worn this blazer apart from taking pictures. I just haven't found the right occasion to wear it and I've had it over a year now (shame on me I know). You would have first seen it in this post but again, it was only for the pictures. Before this year is out, I have this beauty for a night (or day) out on the town.

Lace-ups were a big hit on the fashion scene this Summer, more so in the latter part of the Summer in to the Fall. Unfortunately, because they were such a big hit, I couldn't quite find one that I liked, was in my size and shipped internationally. Thankfully, my good old faithful GoJane stocked them over the past 2 weeks and I snagged 2 pairs in leopard print and black. I know see that the leopard ones have sold out. Wow! I haven't received the black ones as yet but that these babies will be on heavy rotation.

Trending: Pastel Power

If you love colour, then you should be loving the pastel colour coat trend. This year has seen a monumental shift from the usual black, gray or brown Fall/ Winter coats, to much softer hues such as rose/ baby pink, powdery blue, mint green, lavender and blush. This trend seems to have bypassed Winter and jumped straight into Spring. Pastels have not only crept their way in to Fall/Winter, but somehow these uber-feminine hues have completely replaced the standard black, gray and brown shades of the season.

These hues will easily brighten up any dull Winter day, and are a wardrobe must-have this season.

Cayman International Music Festival

Grand Cayman is home to many talented individuals, whether artists, artistes, craftsmen and women, chefs/cooks, sculptures, etc., yet, so few people even know where we are located. One of the many beauties of living on such a tiny island is that you get the opportunity to come face-to-face with celebrities throughout the year. Because we are such a calm, laid back people, seeing and meeting celebrities has become a part of life and is 'just another day in the park'.

This past Friday, 6 December 2013, I had the fabulous opportunity of performing for the first annual Cayman International Music Festival which presented the legendary Percy Sledge, R&B singer Genuine, Omi and Verse Simmonds. Not only was the event packed with such amazing international talent, but our local acts surely did put on a great show! It was a great night enjoyed by all.
