Saturday, June 27 and Sunday 28, 2009 were two very exciting, eventful and unplanned days. When I received a phone call from Miami- based producer to possibly provide makeup services for a weekend shoot, I wasn't sure how to react so I took a few steps back, cleared my head and accepted the proposal gauranteeing the producer that they would not be disappointed with my services.
Miami-based production company, Caymana Productions opened a new branch called Caymana Casting Agency. They were in the Cayman Islands for the Engage '09 Destination Weddings event and were also in Cayman scouting and signing up new talent for representation. Miami-based photographer, Guido Milian, was invited to the island to take various headshot and portfolio pictures for talent comp cards as well as the new agency website.
Anyone who knows me, knows that I am definitely NOT a morning person but the photographer (Guido Milian) shoots best with natural light and needed to start shooting at 7am and I needed to start makeup at 6am. Humph!! That was pretty hard but I managed to make it to the location on time and that was the beginning of a VERY hectic weekend.
Saturday's shoot ended at 7:30pm when there was no more light and the mosquitos came out to play. Sunday's session started at 6am and ended at 12:30pm. You can only imagine how beat I was but I was so grateful to have been apart of the new venture.
