MY STYLE: DIY Reconstructed jeans to maxi skirt

Hi beauties:

How has your weekend been thus far? Done anything interesting?

I'm excited to share my first sewing project with you. I have officially become obsessed with fashion blogging and recently, I stumbled upon a fellow blogger Mimi G. Mimi G is a mother of 6 who sews for a hobby and her outfits are amazing. She's such a talented woman and the best part is that she shares her passion for fashion and sewing with the world on her blog and Youtube channel. If you think I'm kidding when I say she's amazing, go check her out for yourself. If you have never sewn a stitch in your life, you can learn from Mimi. Her tutorials are that simple.
Today's outfit is really simple but it excites me to share it because I followed Mimi's super easy instructions and made a perfectly wearable denim maxi skirt out of 2 pairs of jeans that I stopped wearing a long time ago. You can also make your own awesome denim maxi skirt by following Mimi's instructions here.

@Tinuke, no ma'am. All of what you see are locs. I just need to re-twist my roots

@Rhonda, yes denim maxi skirts are hella expensive so instead of purchasing it, I got creative.
