Smart Casual Festive Season Fashion Styling

Hi beauties:

It is officially that time of year where party and social events invitations are popping up everywhere and the dreadful question (for the ladies) is, “what do I wear”. Well, sequins are no doubt always on trend for the season. Peplums have also been hitting the runways and streets really hard and are suitable for all occasions. Feeling bold? Pair sequins, peplum and leather to make a killer statement.
Most people and companies are moving away from the stuffy, ball gown, formal Christmas attire and bringing things down a notch to a more comfortable level of Smart Casual attire.

Below are a few sets I have created for you. Which one is your style?

MY STYLE: Red Orange Cropped Pants & White Peplum

Hi beauties:

I wore this ensemble to work today after putting on everything else that just didn't look or feel right.

Do you ever have those days?

Details of pieces later....

Afro-fashion

Hi beauties:

How has your Monday been thus far? As I type, all the words on the screen are moving because I am hella tired. It's crazy. Do any of you dolls have a natural remedy for insomnia? On top of that, I had a photoshoot  that lasted for 5 hours yesterday so I am pretty much dysfunctional at the moment.

On to happier things. You may or may not know that I am totally head over heels for all things African. While I know that Africa is a continent made up of many countries and not  just a single country, I embrace the uniqueness and versatility of the various cultures, fashion style, food and traditions. The motherland is very near and dear to my heart for so many reasons.

I copied these images from a page I follow on Facebook and thought I would share them with you. Which of these looks do you like?

I love ALL the looks in this set.

 Number 2-4 are my favourites.

MY STYLE: Denim & Baby Booties

Hi beauties:
I have officially launched into the party/ wedding season. I expect to be pretty busy over the next couple of weeks with Christmas party, special events and wedding makeup so if I go M.I.A for a while, you have been warned.
I had two makeup clients today which gave me an excuse (as if I needed one) to dress up and leave home. Most weekends, I would much rather lounge around the house and be a bum but it rarely ever happens that way.
So, on to the outfit.....

Brown, colour block booties here. I am in love with these booties as they are my first pair ever and they're so cute. You will definitely see them again

MY STYLE: Red Pop

Hi lovies,
I wore this outfit to work yesterday so I guess I'm not too late in posting it. The skirt is actually a dress I flipped inside out and chose to wear as a skirt. I wore it as a dress in this post. I also figured that if I wore black shoes, the outfit would simply be blah so I added the red pumps for a pop of colour.
As you can tell from most of the pictures, I was cracking up while trying to squeeze in a decent shot. My photographer is just so silly at times.

MY STYLE: Pleated Green Maxi Skirt

Hi beauties,
I have got to be the queen of procrastination. When I woke up this morning, I had all intentions to get some cleaning done along with other tid bits and all of that is yet to happen. Another day wasted but I did manage to pop into town (the city as you would say) to pick up a few things and this is what I wore.
Pleated Maxi Skirt (here- LOVE the orange). Here, here (on sale) here and here (love the shade) are another options.
Top- Mine is old | Option here
As for my hair, I've seen this updo worn in natural hair and figured that I could try the same with my locs and I like how it turned out.
